Coltricia montagnei
This very unusual and rare mushroom is distinctive
in that the pores tend to break up into concentric plate-like structures.
This gives the impression of gills which run around the stipe instead of
radiating from the stipe to the edge of the cap. It has only been
reported once in Kansas when Richard Kay found it in 1995.
